Investigation and risk assessment reports for (potentially) contaminated sites
a. Preliminary investigation report
The report is elaborated according to the requirements of Law 74 / 2019 on the management of potentially contaminated sites and contaminated sites and of the Decree no. 1423/3687/2020 regarding the approval of the Methodology for the investigation of potentially contaminated sites and contaminated sites. The content of the Preliminary investigation report for potentially contaminated sites is developed according to Annex 2 in Law 74/2019.
b. Detailed investigation and risk assessment report
The purpose of detailed investigation and risk assessment is to confirm the existence of contamination, to determine its intensity as well as to analyse and estimate the probability of occurrence of adverse environmental effects.
The report is elaborated according to the provisions of Decree no. 1423/2020 regarding the approval of the Methodology for the investigation of potentially contaminated sites and contaminated sites and the Law 74/2019 regarding the management of potentially contaminated sites and contaminated sites, and of other legislative provisions regarding environmental protection.
The content regulations are presented in Table 11 of the Decree no. 1423/2020 regarding the approval of the Methodology for the investigation of potentially contaminated sites and contaminated sites.
c. Remediation project
The remediation project contains necessary information regarding the recommended option of remediation from the feasibility study and its details from a technical-economic and environmental point of view.
The remediation project must also be structured and must contain the information provided in Annex 2 of Order nr. 267/346/2021 approving the Methodology for the remediation of contaminated sites.
The implementation of the remedy project needs to take into consideration all the activities conducted over the remediation period, including the planning, designing, and the actual remediation work stages, as well as monitoring phase during the implementation of the remediation works and the post-remediation monitoring of the site.
